Our journey will take us along winding earthen tracks to some of the most fascinating places in the Algarve. Breathe the pure air rich with the scent of herbs. Learn about the local fauna and flora. Smell the scent of the eucalyptus trees and learn the secrets of harvesting the ubiquitous cork trees. In tiny white-washed villages where time seems to have stood still you can see some of the old customs still in practice. We will visit a small local distillery where the brave can sample "medronho" - a very potent local drink and where you can see honey being made in the age old way. The day includes a full, delicious lunch served in a typical restaurant.
